I have recently read your story about the poll numbers. I believe patrick cooper is in the lead. I work for the city of birmingham and I meet a lot of the residents in this city. first of all, most residents are against Mayor Kincaid because he is not moving Birmingham forward compared to cities like Charlotte and Nashville. Most tell me they are voting for Cooper because they feel he will move the city forward and bring residents back to the city limits of Birmingham. Second, is Larry Langford. Third would be Smitherman and fourth was Valerie Abbott. This is just my unofficial asking people in the neighborhood poll.

Indeed, polling is becoming more suspect, just as it is growing more prevalent. In addition to do-not-call lists, pollsters don’t know what to do with us younger folks who use our cell phones only.

I doubt the veracity of ANY of this nonsense.
A true poll of the people would include some truly viable candidates for the mayor’s office. Where’s Kyle Whitmire stand in the polls, huh?
Besides with the “do not call registry”, just how can any of the pollsters get an accurate report of Birmingham citizens’ supper-time opinions?
