Kathy: I went to AU with your brother John Seay. It would be nice to touch base with him again if you know how to get in touch.

Hey John, My maiden name is Seay. As a matter of fact I have 4 brothers, one whose name is ... you guessed it John. John Hamilton Seay to be exact. Because we were a family of seven we often referred to ourselves as "the seven seays". I enjoyed reading your article and listening to the other John Seay's song.

We grew up in Alabama in a little town called Verbena..

Have a great day and God bless...

To the John Seay from Birmingham: I really enjoyed your article and am happy you've encountered our dear friend from Baltimore.

To the other John Seays of the world: What are you waiting for? This could be a movement! :-)

Hey John,
I guess I don’t have that problem although several other songwriters have wrote songs that talked about me or were about me; Jim Patton: ‘Will Not Let You Down’, David Salyer: ‘Sex Change Freeway’ to which I answered with - ‘Post Op Freeway’, Lou Maestro: 'Mystery (To Me)' to which I answered with - ‘Human Race (Fried Rats Tonight)’, and I’m fairly sure there is one of two that I’ve forgotten along the way. Maybe you should write an answer song. I’ve certainly gotten a few good ones answering songs with songs.
I enjoyed your story either way! Pretty funny my friend!

I just checked out his page and listened to his "Other John Seay" song while sitting at my desk in the ER. Very funny. Thanks John. (PS. I did think when I first met you that your full name was like a nickname, John C., most probably because all of our mutual friends only call you by your full name.)
