I'm sure Jeff's not the only Republican who has become hopelessly confused trying to spout talking points that have no relationship to reality.

Why is it that conservatives support wars far longer than they should, resist the fair play of raising the minimum wage, and have the gall to criticize and argue with people who are experts in their field (scientists, for example)? As one who has taught writing and logic at the college level for 40 years, I can tell you that conservatives as a group are the last to catch on, but the first to insist that they have the answers. In other words, they're simply not the brightest bulbs in the package, and the only thing they seem to do well is come up with slogans that mislead gullible people (which is easily one half of the American people). War on terror? A war on terror would consist of using sophisiticated tools of diplomacy and aid to increase our standing, not trying to beat people into respecting or loving us. It ain't gonna happen.

Sessions said. “I don’t believe we need a soldier in Iraq a single day longer than is necessary to serve our national interests.”

The question every citizen should be asking is what exactly is our national interest?

I HAVE TO AGREE THE "WAR ON TERRROR" IS A SLOGAN NOT A TACTIC.IN IRAQ WE ARE FIGHTING AND GETTING LIKKED BY IRAQUIS THAT HATE US BECAUSE WE ARE OCCUPYING THEIR SACRED LAND. WE ARE IN A WAR AGAINST AL QUIEDA AND THE TALIBAN, THE REGIME CHANGE WAS COMPLETED IN IRAQ AND NOW WE NEED TO GET OUT AND LET THE IRAQUIS SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS,THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING EACH OTHER SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME AND THERE IS NO REASON TO THINK IT WILL GET BETTER BECAUSE WE ARE OCCUPING THEIR COUNTRY,I AM AMAZED HOW MANY PEOPLE STILL THINK SADAM WAS CONNECTED TO 9/11 AND ATTACKED US.THIS SHOWS HOW EFFECTIVE VP CHENEYS SPEACHES WERE WHEN HE WAS BLABBERING ALL THE BS ALL OVER THE NEWS EVERYDAY.I BELEIVE ALL THE REPUBLICANS THAT WANT TO BE ELECTED IN 2008 WILL TELL BUSH TO GET LOST AND GET OUR TROOPS OUT OF IRAQ IN SEPTEMBER,
