Why does this continue to go ignored? I understand why the TV stations are unwilling to run these types of stories as the leads (since they are profiting from his insane sound bites), but what about the News? Langford hates him anyway; they might as well tell the truth. A few weeks with the lead story detailing how it's back to business as usual with a crook at the helm of the government might actually raise awareness of the issue. We can't be silent! Isn't this a major purpose of the media? If not, is there still a purpose? Thank you to the Weekly for telling the truth, even when uncomfortable. (And yes, I live in the city and am directly impacted by this crap.) I'm not a Kincaid fan, but at least he was progress toward a city hall that isn't corrupt.

From a Bloomberg story on the bond swaps:

In Jefferson County, Alabama, the rate on $221.3 million of auction-rate sewer bonds issued in 2002 and insured by XL Capital Assurance soared to 10 percent on Feb. 6 from 3.06 percent on Jan. 9.

WHY IS ALL THIS BEING IGNORED???? WHERE IS THE JUSTIFIABLE OUTRAGE???
