Eat this: 11 must-try dishes from Alabama

Garden and Gun magazine and John T. Edge, dubbed \’93the Faulkner of Southern Food,\’94 have compiled a list of 100 must-try foods in the South. The list features meat, seafood, sides, bread and sweets from 12 Southern states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Eleven restaurants in Alabama claimed spots on the list, including six located in and around Birmingham:\
