Holiday movies at the Alabama Theatre

The holiday film series at the “Show Place of the South” continues through the end of this week, with screenings of the following classics:\

Wednesday, Dec. 17 & Thursday, Dec. 18 \’96 It\’92s A Wonderful Life \
Friday, Dec. 19 \’96 National Lampoon\’92s Christmas Vacation \
Saturday, Dec. 20 \’96 Triple Feature: Rudolph, Frosty & The Grinch\
Saturday, Dec. 20 & Sunday, Dec. 21 \’96 White Christmas \
\
Show time is 7 p.m. each night, with a 2 p.m. start time for the triple feature on Saturday and a Sunday matinee of White Christmas. Each screening will be preceded by a Christmas carol singalong with accompaniment on the Mighty Wurlitzer.\
\
The Alabama Theatre gift shop will be open during each screening. You can purchase coffee table books, postcards and prints of the Alabama Theatre and CDs of Mighty Wurlitzer music, featuring performances by members of the Alabama Theatre Organ Society. Also for sale are sets of panoramic postcards of the Lyric Theatre, with photos taken by Bradford Daly. Proceeds from the sale of the latter will go toward the Lyric restoration fund.\
