Nanci Kincaid at the Alabama Booksmith

By Glenny Brock

EAT, DRINK & BE FROM MISSISSIPPI: That\’92s the title of Nanci Kincaid\’92s novel about a pair of siblings who leave the South and eventually find their way back through a series of chance encounters and unfortunate events. The novel\’92s pegged as inspirational Southern fiction, although some may not consider Kincaid a Southern writer; she\’92s from Florida and currently splits her time between Hawaii and California \’96 but she\’92s married to a college football coach, so she\’92s probably all right in eyes of most good ole boys. Kincaid will be in Birmingham signing Eat, Drink and Be From Mississippi on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at the Alabama Booksmith. The event starts at 6 p.m. and admission is free. Reserve a signed copy of the book by visiting www.alabamabooksmith.com. The Alabama Booksmith is located at 2626 19th Place South. For more information, call (205) 870-4242.
