Richard Scrushy homeward bound?

Richard Scrushy might have slipped the government’s clutches on criminal charges that he participated in the massive accounting fraud at HealthSouth, but investors still want to make him pay. A civil lawsuit against Scrushy in state court seeks damages for his alleged role in the fraud, and the trial could bring the former rockstar CEO back to Birmingham. Since being sentenced on bribery charges in 2007, Scrushy has been serving his time at the Beaumont, Texas, federal prison. (Source: Birmingham News.)
