UA’s Grant among highest paid coaches

New University of Alabama head basketball coach Anthony Grant will earn an annual salary of $1.83 million, making him one of the highest paid coaches in the nation. The Birmingham News has the details, as well as a list of well-paid coaches.
Tide coach Anthony Grant is one of the 20 highest-paid coaches in the country, according to a Birmingham News report.
Grant, the first black coach to lead a major revenue-generating team at Alabama, was making roughly $850,000 at Virginia Commonwealth University before moving to Tuscaloosa. Read Weekly columnist Matt Hooper’s take on the hire here.
