Larry Langford struts about like a little Banty Rooster, crowing at the top of his lungs. When anyone disagrees with him, he crows and runs from the room. It is all very childish. His inability to tell the truth about his legal residence is not at all surprising, it is merely another falsehood perpetuated by another failed so called public servant .

I've been telling you that for years.

While I agree with Wade -- and knowing a little about journalism, TrueEyes, well practiced journalism brings the truth to the forefront, not ... well, whatever you suggest that Wade is doing. I honestly can't pinpoint what you're trying to say. -- I think that Kyle and Madison have done a good thing here, by at least trying to bring it back to the forefront. I would even suggest taking it one step further, by calling Fox 6 and asking them to do an "On Your Side" follow up.

Langford is, from what I've seen, one of the premiere examples of everything that is wrong with politicians (and, by extension, humanity) today. He seems entirely out for personal gain, and almost at times appears to take actions for the same that border on sociopathic. He's been elected to serve the people of Birmingham, and yet displays utter disregard for those people when it's a question of his well-being versus theirs.

I'm glad that I don't live in Birmingham, even if I do still work here (the only reason I could come up with -- to be the one that filed the lawsuit -- is nullified by the fact that my name has been on the BW masthead for some eight or nine years, putting me in the same category as Kyle and Madison). It's bad enough that Jefferson County (where I still reside) is making federal news for the sewer mess, but Langford has probably done more to embarrass the city than anyone in decades.

The sad thing is that I agree with a lot of his (stated) politics; don't confuse this as any sort of feeling that stems from ideological concerns. It's the lying, (alleged) criminality, and petty and selfish (and, sadly, very public) behaviors that are so poorly reflective of this city.

Im not gonna play word wars with you, you know what I mean, and to be honest I dont care enough about you to attack you. Facts are facts and its exactly your mentality that has 90% of news on tv of stuff we didnt have to watch to already know. And btw thank god im intuitive enough to know that Larry Langford would say those things….common sence. The only reason to actually ask is to fulfill the needs of folks like you you nitpick at the fabric of justice until the issue no longer matters and all that is left is whether or not someone knocked on the guys door rather than whether or not he lives there. I'd love to know Mayor Langford's response. Certainly I am not as intuitive as other readers out there to know what's on his mind before the question is asked.

Someday, you may be profiled in the media. Would you rather have a chance to comment or not? Fairness leads to better credibility.

I just mean, i think their are other people out there in the world who think that you should give an old lady millions of dollars because she bought coffee…spilled it on herself…and because it didnt say HOT…she wins millions of dollars. You just sort of seem like that lawyer who is telling the woman to sue because it didnt say HOT wade. I understand your questions to kyle and madison….but i also think they are unneccasary. “Did youa sk Mayor Langford for comment?” Wade writes. Look im just gonna say what no one else will, Langford was stuck in office because of one thing….he was in the pockets of black church leaders and for that reason alone. Patrick Cooper was easily the smarter candidate, hell we just hired a President with practically the exact same feel. Second we are never going to be able to hold political officials accountable for their actions until we can hold Judges accountable for their actions. If they make a decision knowing the facts like in that trial or with George Bush they should be stripped of every robe they own. Third “Wadeonbirmingham” what your doing to these 2 good journalists is EVERYTHING that is wrong with society today. You cant Justice because of people like you.Who really gives a crap if this man knocked on the door or made a phone call to which everyone who has a lil thing called Common Sence would know what was going to happen, either a closed door or a phone call ending with “its none of yoru business.” Its people like you who pick at the fabric of truth over and over until eventually when your done with it the point of the matter or truth of it no longer matters because the otherside is having to deal with whether or not they knocked on the door…not whether or not the mans car that he uses everyday is at a residence that is not in the city in which he is a mayor.

FANTASTIC REPORTING! But face it, the once-promising great city is dead like most big U.S., Democrat/Socialist/Statist-run welfare-state cities. Wade -- something else struck me.

The remark about Langford's wardrobe seemed to be little more than a stab at reminding everyone about the mayor's embarrassing clothing bills.

As someone who knows the mayor from a professional standpoint, I can tell you that his love for cars and clothes is greatly surpassed by his love of music. He is an audiophile of the highest order, with specially-calibrated surround-sound equipment, and the specialty CDs to match.

An inquiry such as this that does NOT reach out to Langford for comment, while erroneously assuming knowledge of his passions and preferences loses much in credibility.

Which in turn dilutes the power of the question: where do you really live?
