I caught the program this weekend and was completely overwhelmed. The story that rivited me most was Uncle Cliff and how I came to find your article - Googling this man in hopes of learning more about his life. How courageous of his family to allow their loved ones final days to be documented like that. I hope people can find the strength to watch this important documentary and become inspired to get involved. Even if that just means picking up the phone to call or visiting your parents and grandparents! If I learned one thing during that program it was to truly appreciate what I have and how lucky I am to at 40 still have vibrant, healthy parents!! God bless all those involved with this project. You've done great work!

The HBO special was great, and it showed why clinical studies are so important. Current Alzheimer's therapies treat the symptoms associated with the disease, not the disease itself. There is a new study that explores if Bapineuzumab (Bapi), an investigational drug mentioned in the HBO special, can help slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. Patients and families affected by Alzheimer’s can visit www.icarastudy.com to see if they might be eligible to enroll.
