Birmingham has needed to replace Legion Field for a very long time. Birmingham will have the premiere stadium in the state of Alabama again. It is much more than a football stadium though! We will be able to simultaneously hold numerous events that we can't host now. Some of them will be going on at the same time. I applaud the City of Birmingham for taking this great step for the region. The issue was decided by the residents of the City of Birmingham as it should have been. The rest of the county does not have the right to tell the City of Birmingham whats projects it can pursue. It would be wrong for someone outside of Hoover or Trussville to try to dictate what these two cities can or can't pursue inside of their borders.
