31 crooks in 31 days?

By Weekly Staff

Is this town really so full of corruption that one could devote an entire month (and a long one at that) to profiling a crook a day? Wade Kwon of Wade on Birmingham says yes (and we don’t doubt him a bit). In honor of Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford’s impending trial, which begins on August 31, Kwon is profiling a Birmingham evildoer a day for the entire month of August.

According to Kwon, the “Birmingham’s Biggest Crooks” project is “a celebration of Birmingham’s most notorious crooks, whether they be liars, thieves, extortionists, swindlers or thugs.” It’s only day 4, and Kwon, with help from Bhamwiki.com, has already hit Gary White, Gregory Clarke, Mary Buckalew, and Marvin Warner.
