bob255 is right! The County managers should realize that those of us waiting in line to be served are infuriated by the sight of idle workers chatting, reading, or anything but working. I hope this idle time at home has given them a better work ethic!

My problem is bringing all the employees back wont solve the problem which is FAT, and I expect there is 15-45% FAT within Jeffco.

Every department including the sheriffs dept.

Ive been going to jeffco courthouses downtown and centerpoint for 30 years now. I have NEVER been there where there hasnt been at least 1 employee who sat there and read the newspaper for the entire length of my wait. A few times over 30 minutes.

Why does a soon to be bankrupt county have employees who get paid for reading the newspaper ?

Frankly, I think they should go let go 5-10% and then hold the remainder accountable. That is, make them WORK every hour they are there.

Not just the few we see on the front line.
