Dude, check out the sea birds!
I’m sure that none of the readers of Green Space would EVER get baked, but if they did, they could amuse themselves for hours by lying on the sofa with a netbook and watching a web-cam view of sea bird and ocean activity at the remote Farallon National Wildlife Refuge, about 25 miles off the coast of San Francisco.
The refuge is celebrating its centennial this year. It is closed to the public because it hosts the largest seabird colony in the continental U.S. Hey, can you imagine the sheer tonnage of guano?
The web cam is provided by the California Academy of Sciences at www.calacademy.org/webcams/farallones.
