Heroin use on the rise in Birmingham

By Kyle Whitmire

For the last time, don’t do drugs. But if you have to do drugs, smoke some pot or something. Or if you’re in college, maybe drop some acid (just don’t bore us with the story later about your trip). Whatever you do, don’t do smack. Heroin is bad, OK? And use is on the rise in Birmingham. So far, it’s killed 16 people countywide (which still puts it a distant second to tobacco, but we’ll ignore that for now or as long as the government gets taxes from it.)
