The thing was that the defense was nearly nonexistent. It consisted not of "Larry didn't do it," but of:

1. "Larry did it, but it wasn't as bad as..."
2. "Larry did it, but he's a good guy."
3. "Larry did it, but it's about his intent."
4. "Larry did it, but it was because he was taken advantage of."
5. "Larry did it, but other people did it, too."
6. "Larry did it, but the situation was already bad."

Essentially, those may be true, but you're still saying that Larry did it, and that's the problem.

How could anyone not find him guilty…Especially after hearing Larry Langford's sworn testimony to the Security and Exchange Commission that his attorneys tried to keep the jurors from hearing…Plus the box theory where his attorney showed 7 big boxes for Blount and one little box for Larry Langford…What a great line from the prosecution and what a message it sent the jury when they pointed out…Mr. Langford is not supposed to have a box…

Just pretend that Langford was found not guilty. Would that please the majority of folks in the fair city? Why would he be found not guilty? Because he is black? Answer this question please. Do you believe he accepted all those expensive “gifts”? Now, do you believe he should go unpunished for this? Come on!!!!!
