I have to take the opportunity here to say thank you for covering the budget issues from the beginning. The Birmingham News might have provided a blurb or two along the way, but your coverage has by far exceeded theirs. And their editorial piece today that sounded somewhat shocked that there was a budget shortfall just really got under my skin. I couldn't understand why anyone would have been shocked. We've known for months, thanks to your excellent work.<br><br>I suppose I'm not the only person in the Birmingham area who feels that the News sold out to people who we can now officially refer to as "crooks" (with an actual jury conviction). It's always been good to see that the Weekly still has us covered and never gave into the pressure from Langford and his cronies. I have a great deal of respect for this publication.
