Hey, you know a walk would do you good, so why not join the Friends of the Locust Fork River on their annual hike from Swann Covered Bridge to Powell Falls and back on Saturday, Oct. 24?
If you wish to take part, be at the Covered Bridge Grill on Highway 79/231 in Cleveland at 9 a.m., or at Swann Bridge at 9:30 a.m. For information, call (205) 429-4120.
According to an e-mail we received from FLFR, the fall foliage is usually glorious and you will get commentary on your surroundings from trip leaders. The round trip is moderately difficult and takes about three hours. You are cautioned to be prepared for the weather and to bring snacks and beverages.
