Art Opening at Avondale Bricks

Thursday, August 30, 5:30-8:30

The art of Palo Pallas

art_opening.jpg

The metaphysical art of Palo Pallas will go on display at the opening reception at Avondale Bricks Gallery. http://www.bhamweekly.com/birmingham/article-3061-food-forthought.html The opening will also feature a sampling of quail products from Manchester Farms prepared by local chefs. Consistent with the pantheistic principles of Palo’s art, there will also be a brief fashion show of the designs of Nazia Khan, as well as our usual surprise fusion of musical styles, performed live, and tapas by Cosmo’s in Five Points.

Pallas' work is in important public collections across the U.S. including Yale University, the University of Washington, and the Heritage Museum.

You will also have a chance to view the long-term installation of Cuban artwork by artists in prestigious collections around the world from the Museum of Modern Art in New York to the Birmingham Museum of Art in Birmingham, Alabama.
