College students need money, and one quick way to make a buck is to sell your body. But if – for whatever reason – you’re not into hooking, you should consider selling your body for science! Thanks to UAB’s research hospital and Birmingham’s biotech industry, Alabama has more medical research participation opportunities than any other state. This means you can get a check just for being healthy (and in certain cases, being sick in a very specific way) and showing up at the right place, allowing nurses and med students to ask mildly invasive questions and poke at you with sharp objects.
